Black Hills Clean Air Alliance's Founding
The Black Hills Clean Air Alliance was founded in 2024 when concerned resindents in the Black Hills took notice of high levels of pollution from ATVs. These individuals were concerned that most of the environmental non-profits organizations in the Black Hills were more concerned about issues such as mining and nuclear energy, both of which have lower environmental impacts than real issues that plague the Black Hills. Our organization is fighting to promote awareness of larger environmental threats, such as pollution from tourists, all terrain vehicles (ATVs), septic related contamination of groundwater, and declining wildlife populations caused by the influx of natural predators from neighboring states.
